Information entropy, continuous improvement, and US energy performance: a novel stochastic-entropic analysis for ideal solutions (SEA-IS)

To address the gap in energy performance studies regarding role of information entropy feedback processes between input and output slacks, paper develops a novel Stochastic-Entropic Analysis for Ideal Solutions (SEA-IS) model. The non-linear stochastic optimization model is then applied to assess potential gains that may arise from slacks minimization given different optimal reduction quantiles US states. relies on Beta distributed priors odds-ratio learning takes advantages numerous strengths present DEA TOPSIS approaches management. Machine methods are also employed predict terms contextual variables. We find California only U.S. state has indicate strong mutual continuous improvements efficiency. results there ample scope harnessing power improving efficiency, particularly 37 states, which indicates public–private partnership achieve this goal.
